Strengthening ESG Visibility Across an Asian Supplier Network

A European electronics retailer had established a growing private-label supply chain across Asia and needed stronger visibility into supplier ESG performance as operations expanded. The company wanted a more structured way to monitor supplier practices, identify potential risks early, and improve consistency across labor, environmental, and responsible sourcing standards.

We were there to support the client’s sustainability team with ongoing supplier monitoring, ESG assessments, and improvement follow-up across the regional supplier base.

OUR SOLUTION

Managing ESG Risks Across Multiple Suppliers

As the supplier network expanded, maintaining visibility across different factories, countries, and operational setups became increasingly challenging.

The client needed to better understand:

• Which suppliers carried higher ESG or compliance risks
• Whether corrective actions were actually being implemented
• How supplier performance was evolving over time
• Where additional support or engagement would be needed

There was also a need for more structured communication between suppliers and the client’s sustainability team to improve follow-up and long-term supplier development.

We also worked directly with suppliers to support improvement efforts, including follow up discussions, practical guidance, and targeted support around labor conditions, EHS practices, and responsible sourcing requirements.

Throughout the project, we provided regular updates to the client’s sustainability team, helping management track supplier progress, identify recurring issues, and prioritize areas requiring closer attention. We also prepared regular management updates highlighting supplier performance, recurring risk areas, and recommended next steps for continued improvement.
